
On October 22, the 10th National Forum,
“Palestine
X: Innovation Without Borders,” organized by the
Higher Council
for Innovation and Excellence HCIE, the two-day event focused on
the theme
"Innovation from Home to the World: Towards a
Cross-Border Innovation System." The forum included opening sessions,
panel discussions, and interactive meetings that connected Palestinian
universities, entrepreneurial projects, and young innovators. Participants
presented their work and initiatives, demonstrating the spirit of innovation
and the determination to turn challenges into opportunities. On the second day,
the forum continued dialogue sessions and interactive meetings.
H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas inaugurated the forum. In his speech, he emphasized
that
"Innovation and excellence are inherent characteristics of
the Palestinian people." He stressed that the roots of
Palestinian innovation lie deep in the history of the struggle for freedom and
survival. The President toured the exhibition's pavilions, listening to
creative youth and viewing student and entrepreneurial projects that transform
dreams into reality. This scene embodied the Palestinian capacity for Innovation
despite pain.
Further highlighting the forum’s significance,
Eng. Adnan Samara,
chairman
of the HCIE, spoke about Palestine as a place for bright minds, innovation,
and entrepreneurship. He highlighted rebuilding what the occupation has
destroyed. He explained that the tenth forum embodies the spirit of Palestine
through cooperation between the homeland and the diaspora, as well as between
the public and private sectors. Efforts are focused on opening new horizons for
Palestinian youth locally and internationally, and on consolidating Palestine's
presence in research, development, and entrepreneurship through strategic
initiatives and partnerships.
Forum Vision and the Message of Palestinian Innovation
The forum underscored the resilience and Innovation of the Palestinian people,
showcasing achievements that cross geographical and political boundaries. Over
two days, 120 pavilions displayed innovative projects in technology, energy,
education, artificial intelligence, and community entrepreneurship.
Universities, startups, and supporting organizations participated,
demonstrating hope and perseverance amid ongoing challenges.
On October 23, the second day featured sessions with over 30
speakers and experts from Palestine and abroad. Discussions focused on digital
transformation, the role of Palestinian talent in the diaspora, and
cross-border entrepreneurship.
