Gyeongbuk Technopark (GBTP) held a cooperation meeting with the National University of Mongolia to transfer Korean best practices.

This visit was arranged as a follow-up measure to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two universities in September last year and the joint venture agreement established in December to implement a collaborative project. In particular, the meeting is considered highly significant as the six-sector working-level consultative body, formed under the directive of the President of the National University of Mongolia, has officially begun its activities.

During the meeting, GBTP introduced its annual project budget operation status of approximately KRW 230 billion and its cooperation model with central and local governments. It also shared its expertise in infrastructure development and operational know-how currently being transferred to Uzbekistan, while proposing mid- to long-term cooperation plans between Korea and Mongolia.

President of the National University of Mongolia expressed strong interest in the feasibility of establishing a cosmetics-focused technopark in Mongolia and in promoting an Official Development Assistance (ODA) project to support the initiative. In response, GBTP mentioned the possibility of developing the project in cooperation with Daegu Haany University, and the parties agreed to establish a mid- to long-term cooperative framework, including pursuing an ODA project at the central government level.
